New Home Energy Efficiency Program

Is your energy bill going through the roof?  Are you concerned about our community and environment for generations to come? Are you ready to take steps toward greener living? THEN WE WANT YOU.The Wauwatosa Energy Committee is currently developing a neighborhood program to support the effort of residents in reducing their energy consumption. We will learn ways to reduce our carbon footprint, protect our natural resources, and decrease waste. TETNA has been chosen as the ideal candidate to kickoff this new neighborhood program.Using the Madison's EnAct program as a model, the Wauwatosa program goals are:

  • Encourage and empower Wauwatosa and Milwaukee County residents to take actions in their daily lives to reduce the environmental impact of their households.
  • Build awareness of the energy impacts of household activities and lifestyle practice.
  • Build awareness of energy problems and concerns specific to the Wauwatosa area and Milwaukee County.
  • Build awareness of local resources that facilitate sustainable living.
  • Create a stronger community by encouraging neighbors to get to know each other and work together to attain their goals.
